Biomedical Research Information System (Workflow)
The Biomedical Research Information System (Workflow) – designed and implemented by CBIM in cooperation with the Directorate General for Health and Biomedical Research and Supervision of National Health Bodies and Institution of the Italian Ministry of Health is a web-based tool for the management of Research activities from both a scientific and an administrative point of view, aimed to realize the National Research Database.
Currently, more than 15,000 Researchers are using the system, belonging to 49 Institutes involved in research activities and highly specialised assistance in different health sectors (Neurology, Paediatrics, Oncology, … ), called Institutes for Scientific Research and Clinical Care (IRCCS), 10 Institutes of Experimental Veterinary Preventive Medicine, 21 Regional and Local Authorities and the Leading Technical and Scientific Institute of Health (ISS).
On the basis of the skill achieved in the Biomedical Research Information System development, the system was adopted by Fondazione Roma and by Region of Veneto for the monitoring of the “Research, Innovation and e-Health Technology Assessment” Programme.
